Clays for a Cause

Clays for a Cause is a charitable sporting clays program produced and underwritten by Kentucky Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company. Every dollar raised from the event—whether through sponsorships, donations or participant entry fees—is given directly to a local or regional charity specified by the Kentucky Farm Bureau Insurance Foundation. Our charitable focus? With help from many generous sponsors and participants at our annual Clays for a Cause event, we seek to make a positive impact in the fight against food and housing insecurity in our state.

Feeding Kentucky (recipient, 2019-2024)
Feeding Kentucky’s seven member food banks serve all 120 Kentucky counties in partnership with a network of over 800 local food pantries and shelters. Last year, Feeding KY members distributed 96 million pounds of food and grocery products — enough for 79 million meals for our struggling neighbors. Feeding KY reach an estimated 1 in 7 of all Kentuckians each year.

Glean Kentucky (recipient, 2019-2024)
GleanKY was founded in 2010 by three individuals seeking to attack two problems: food waste and hunger. Recognizing that excess produce presented an opportunity to serve the large number of people needing food, the organization explored creative and effective ways to connect the two. GleanKY gathers and redistributes excess fresh fruits and vegetables to nourish Kentucky’s hungry.

Kentucky Hunters for the Hungry (recipient, 2019-2024)
Kentucky Hunters for the Hungry is a charitable volunteer run organization comprised of responsible hunters and conservationist who encourage hunters to harvest and donate deer each season. KHFH is a statewide hunger relief program dedicated to providing a healthy source of protein to needy Kentuckians. KHFH’s mission is to alleviate hunger and malnutrition in Kentucky by processing and distributing donated venison to those in need, to provide an outlet for hunters to help their communities and promote environmental stewardship through wildlife management.

Habitat for Humanity (recipient 2024)
Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity of Metro Louisville brings people together to build homes, community and hope through affordable housing solutions of homeownership, community development and home repair. Since 1985, Habitat Louisville has been bringing our community together to build stable homes, strong relationships and healthy neighborhoods. Our homeownership program empowers low-income families to invest in themselves and invest in their communities. By providing a hand up, not a hand out, our homebuyers can build a path towards financial stability and a brighter future.
