Feeding Kentucky (recipient, 2019-2024)
Feeding Kentucky’s seven member food banks serve all 120 Kentucky counties in partnership with a network of over 800 local food pantries and shelters. Last year, Feeding KY members distributed 96 million pounds of food and grocery products — enough for 79 million meals for our struggling neighbors. Glean Kentucky (recipient, 2019-2024)
GleanKY was founded in 2010 by three individuals seeking to attack two problems: food waste and hunger. Recognizing that excess produce presented an opportunity to serve the large number of people needing food, the organization explored creative and effective ways to connect the two. GleanKY gathers and redistributes excess fresh fruits and vegetables to nourish Kentucky’s hungry.
